You read about it every day — right now, green is one “red hot” trend.

It is a coined term that many companies use but few understand the true meaning of being a green company. At Fitzgerald Lawnscaper, Ltd, we have made a concerted effort to be a “green” company since the beginning of our formation (as our logo states).

We recycle almost all yard waste products, hauling off scrap iron/metal products to the metal recycling companies. Tree chippings and mulch are taken to recycling yards to be made into compost. Leftover dirt/soils are transported to dirt pits to be recycled back to the earth.

Our goal is to be a Waco Leader in the green industry. More importantly, organic applications are used throughout our customer base. Organic fertilizers and organic herbicides and insecticides are used whenever possible. We continually seek to find organic and “green” applications that we can implement into our processes.

Now to be truly 100% green we would have to convert to electric mowers and other related equipment that helps the environment with pollutants and noise pollution. We aren’t there yet, but the technology is not far off!
